  2. Methodology Current Process: • ERCOT sends message to multiple mail lists, including working group lists in attempt to cover desired audience. Desired Process: • ERCOT sends message to specific e-mail list designed for distribution of such message. Market Participants self- signup for the list, determining who should receive the message.

  3. Goals Primary: • Allow for self-signup of Market Participants to appropriate mail groups • Allow for efficiently sending messages to targeted audience • Cease using Working Group list for notice distribution Secondary: • Reduce number of duplicate e-mails

  10. Next Steps • Establish the Mailing lists • Notice will be provided when new lists are available for Market Participant sign-up. Instructions will be included with lists available and matrix detailing what notice types get sent to which lists. • Use tandem mailings for a limited period (1 Month) • Discontinue using subcommittee mailing lists for routine market notifications.

  11. Proposed Timeline • Make new Mail Lists available Dec 1. • Allow sign-up throughout Dec. • Continue to use both current process and new lists through December • Discontinue using Subcommittee lists Jan 1, 2006
