CHAPTER MEMBERSHIP/GROWTH • Increased efforts to improve membership through hosting and participating in events that capture interest of both officer and enlisted active duty personnel as well as retirees and DOD personnel • SNA President and COMNAVBASE CMC communications with unit Commanding/Executive Officers and Command Master Chiefs to articulate SNA programs that promote waterfront interest and interaction • COMNAVSURFOR direct support, plus CNSF rep added to SD SNA BOD • Continued monthly luncheon forum in a more relaxed environment close to the waterfront with pizza and speakers who keyed on current events and issues of concern to the waterfront • Membership increased 3.8% (32 members, up to 870 from 838)

  4. MEMBERSHIP Closed 2008 with 870 members • Senior Enlisted 97 105 (increase of 8) • Junior Officers 326 335 (increase of 9) • Junior Enlisted 25 24 (Decrease of 1) • Other 390 406 (Increase of 16)
