Advanced Safety Validation for CNG Engine Gas Storage: Achievements and Research Findings

This presentation outlines the main results of safety validation tests conducted on advanced Type IV CNG vessels. The tests included cyclic testing at various temperatures, hydrostatic pressure burst tests, stress rupture tests, impact damage tests, and high-temperature creep tests. Over 40 vessels underwent rigorous testing at the WRUT laboratory, adhering to ECE R110 regulations. Additionally, pre-regulatory research was conducted using NOL rings to enhance test procedures, including ultimate strength tests and creep tests.
