  3. Our Purpose • Mission Statement: Bridging the gap between the Financial Services Industry and students at San Diego State University. • This is achieved primarily through: • Networking • Internships/Job Opportunities • Mentorship Program • Resume Building • Guest Speakers

Goals for the Semester Promote National FPA membership for Networking and resources Facilitate professional speakers to chapter Train members at the Wells Fargo Bloomberg Terminal Support and maintain ongoing internship program Conduct semester-long investment game Start alumni – student mentorship program Offer industry-based volunteer event for members Provide opportunities for joining industry conference Team bundling training

  8. Financial Check Up Day Sep. 28th. 10:00 to 15:00, SDSU Alumni Center. Financial Check Up Day will offer FREE one-on-one personalized financial advice and FREE financial workshops! No strings attached! It is a beneficial event for all San Diego residents. Bring your family and friends!

Sign Up for Volunteers Student volunteers will be asked to : 1.) help set up for the day 2.) help welcome and register guests for the day 3.) assist our sponsors/speakers Each student will have the opportunity to observe a planner counseling a "client" and answering financial questions. The student will be assigned to a planner - and will observe the one-on-one counseling. Seats are limited!!!   14. Board Member Rules & Regulations • Must be a National FPA Member ($39.00) • Mandatory Meeting Attendance • Attendance of San Diego FPA Quarterly Meetings • Attendance of monthly SDSU Board Meetings • Close contact with other Board Members • Updates at Meeting when needed

  15. Board Member Positions & Responsibilities • Director of Membership (Secretary )– • Updates member roster & email list • Helps new members register with National FPA • Update website w/ new members, activities, and resumes • Keeps our Social Media Sites and Website updated

Board Member Positions & Responsibilities • Director of Events– • Plan and coordinate event • Plan and contact team bundling activites • Plan event layout & process • Facilitate all purchase/renting of any equipment, food, or decorations • Work with Director of Marketing to promote Event around Campus

  17. Board Member Positions & Responsibilities • Director of fund rising: • Seek for potential sponsors • Plan and organize fund rising activities • Work with Director of Marketing to promote Event around Campus
