Introduction • Arsenal International Soccer Festival has become something of an institution in the city's summer youth soccer calendar • Brings together young people from a host of other countries • It is a unique sporting occasion • Promotes fun, friendship and healthy competition • Development of our young people as adults of the future

Background • "When the event started in 1990 the idea was not simply to provide a soccer tournament but to create a Festival which would include a tournament and at the same time many other soccer activities and social events.” • Soccer facilities located within easy walking distance of accommodations. • This is a true Festival, organised to enable young people from all parts of the world to meet not only on the field of play but during the many social, cultural and fun events which are held during the week of the Festival. • The Festival organises free return transport from your entry airport. • The format has been an outstanding success with many teams choosing to sightsee during the day, and participate in our festival in late afternoon/early evening games each day.

  7. Soccer tournament • All matches are played on first class grass pitches at the picturesque Royal Holloway College, London, a few minutes walking distance from the accommodation. • All teams have a minimum of four games.

  8. Other soccer activities • Other activities include guest coaching clinics, one friendly game against youth pro club team, and a visit to the stadium of Arsenal Football Club.

  9. Social activities • On the social front there are many options; a tournament disco, karaoke, evening movies, a quiz night, and also sightseeing tours.

  10. Match officials • Fully qualified referees and assistant referees officiate at all games. The standard of refereeing is high with many officials from the most senior grades in England and other countries.

  11. Fully approved • The Festival is approved by the English Football Association and by FIFA. It is also a member of BISTA (the British Isles Soccer Tournaments Association).

  12. Accommodation • The accommodation is in single rooms at the Royal Holloway College Halls of Residence which are situated adjacent to the grass football fields. • Meals are served in the main dinning hall. All meals have a choice of menu to suit all sorts, but if you have any special requirements please advise us at the time of booking. Bedrooms are fully furnished and include all bed linen and towels.

  13. Dates • The event begins on the last Monday of July each year. Please contact us for confirmation of dates.
