  3. Recruiting, Admissions, Student Financial Planning Defining Roles – All Units Continue to communicate with and provide superior customer service to all prospective, admitted, and enrolled students.

  4. Recruiting, Admissions, Student Financial Planning Defining Roles RECRUITING Continue to recruit primarily for MIIS degree programs and to meet MIIS targets: • financial / budgetary • academic quality • programmatic

We also specialize: Marketing plans Application review Visitors to campus Rankings surveys Social media outreach Prospective student /Applicant correspondence Devin Lueddeke – IPS, BAIS Rob Horgan – Electronic outreach Caroline Mansi – MBA, IEP, MPA Carol Johnson – T&I, TFL, TESOL Alice Villemaire – Admin support Jill Stoffers - Director Recruiting, Admissions, Student Financial PlanningWho We Are We are all cross-trained and recruit for all degree programs!

  6. Recruiting, Admissions, Student Financial Planning Changes as a result of re-org RECRUITING • Promotion is program, not school based. Need messaging describing why what MIIS does is unique, compelling, and prepares grads for 21st century careers etc. • Required edits to collateral materials: brochures, application, inquiry cards, web copy, business cards, etc. • Changed staffing responsibilities – Previously, one Enrollment Manager per school. Currently divided by program / type of work (electronic outreach)

Recruiting, Admissions, Student Financial Planning Changes as a result of M2 integration RECRUITING • Integrated into Midd’s web project • Cross-train with Midd colleagues for better coverage at fairs domestically and internationally • Require additional edits to collateral materials: “The Monterey Institute of International Studies a graduate school of Middlebury College” • Need messaging about new brand identity

  8. Recruiting, Admissions, Student Financial Planning Defining Roles ADMISSIONS Using Banner, continue to process inquiries and applications for all MIIS programs (degree and non-degree) in a timely manner.

Recruiting, Admissions, Student Financial Planning Who We Are ADMISSIONS Cross-trained, but also specialize: Jennifer Grant – Monthly app report, Afternoon supervisor Marci Fitzurka – Front office, Campus visits, Open houses Sherre Kruft – Manager, Int’l credential evaluations Jenny Manseau – Scholarship process, Admissions letters Shared – Application processing, inquiry responses

Recruiting, Admissions, Student Financial Planning Changes as a result of re-org ADMISSIONS • Required reprogramming of official admission documents: admission letters, application and web content • Need to develop process to transfer conditional / provisional admissions files to Advising Center

Recruiting, Admissions, Student Financial Planning Changes as a result of M2 integration ADMISSIONS • Edits to accreditation references - Change from WASC to NEASC as of March 15, 2009 • Implemented Banner for inquiries. Application portion to go live summer 2009. Will need on-going MIIS/Midd tech support, report support, and other TBD • Will need policies and procedures for admission to joint / integrated Midd – MIIS degree programs

Recruiting, Admissions, Student Financial Planning Changes as a result of M2 integration STUDENT FINANCIAL PLANNING • Effective April 15, 2009, MIIS and Midd share one Title IV School code (with a branch code for separation of loan processing). • Beginning July 1, 2009, Financial Aid will begin Banner Implementation • Unknown: who will handle the reporting of Financial Aid data (i.e. FISAP, IPEDS, etc.)?
