  1. Fresh Hope A Study in Ezekiel 36 & 37 Ezekiel 36:28-30

  2. Fresh Hope Rom 5 3 We also have joy with our troubles, because we know that these troubles produce patience. 4 And patience produces character, & character produces hope. 5 And this hope will never disappoint us, because God has poured out his love to fill our hearts. He gave us his love through the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to us. NCV

  3. Fresh Hope Hope: the confident expectation & anticipation of good, improvement or a positive end result to a desire.

  4. 1) Fresh Hope is Built on God’s Covenant with Us- Eze 36:28 28 Then you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers;

  5. Hope comes as we believe God will fulfill His promises to us, that He will work just as He said that He would.

  6. Hebrews 11 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. … 6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, & that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

  7. Isaiah 55 11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire & achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

  8. Isaiah 55 12 You will go out in joy & be led forth in peace; the mountains & hills will burst into song before you, & all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

  9. Isaiah 55 13 Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree, & instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD's renown, for an everlasting sign, which will not be destroyed.

  10. Do I have hope that my faith in God will be rewarded because God is faithful… or is everything conditional & subject to change?

  11. 2) Fresh Hope is Rooted in Our Relationship with God- Eze 36:28 28 … you shall be My people & I will be your God.

  12. God tells us that we are to look forward in life with hope, not because of our circumstances, but because He is involved in our life. Hope lives in & on what can be through our relationship with God.

  13. I Peter 1 3…In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, NIV

  14. I Peter 1 4 & into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you… 6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. NIV

  15. “Hope cannot come through achievement, because where there is achievement, there is failure. It must come through something much more permanent, steady & dependable…like a relationship built on love & faithfulness…like God’s relationship to us.”

  16. Where does my hope come from?

  17. 3) Fresh Hope Looks Forward to New Blessings- Eze 36:29-30 29 I will deliver you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain & multiply it & bring no famine upon you.

  18. 3) Fresh Hope Looks Forward to New Blessings- Eze 36:29-30 30 And I will multiply the fruit of your trees & the increase of your fields, so that you need never again bear the reproach of famine among the nations.

  19. Hope is much more firm than wishing or wanting. God’s promise to work new blessings is something we can stand on & depend on.

  20. Romans 8 23 And even we Christians, although we have the Holy Spirit within us as a foretaste of future glory, also groan to be released from pain & suffering. … NLT

  21. Romans 8 23 …We, too, wait anxiously for that day when God will give us our full rights as his children, including the new bodies he has promised us. NLT

  22. Romans 8. 24 Now that we are saved, we eagerly look forward to this freedom. For if you already have something, you don’t need to hope for it. 25 But if we look forward to something we don’t have yet, we must wait patiently & confidently. NLT

  23. Is there an excitement in me about what God is going to do through my life?
