Deliver Design Specification • …appended with your functional spec.: • Requirement verification matrix that includes test mapped back to design, functions, and requirements • Documented Failure modes (at least 2) in the form of FMEA’s or Fault Tree, Petri Net,… • Maintenance concept • A Technical Budget/Constraint allocation (one of…cost, weight, power,…) • Each team will deliver finished design spec with project checklist at the next class (30 minutes each) • Final write-up delivered in paper form to instructor during class and electronic form at our TcCommunity site before our last class.

  3. Tools Application Case Study • One from each team (individual grade) • 1-2 page written brief on a systems problem and how it could be addressed by systems engineering tools. • Delivered also in presentation form to the class (5-10 minutes) • …see Ford and Mars Spirit Rover examples

  4. Tool Contributions… • Tool (defined generically as any method, computerized tool, technique, etc.) contribution is a brief <5 minute presentation on a tool germane to systems engineering. • The point is to educate your fellow students & instructor on the tool and its potential application • One from each team for our next class (individual grade) • Entered in the INCOSE General Tools Database (http://www.paper-review.com/tools/tdb/home.php) • …see Design Structure Matrix example

  5. Term Papers • Term-paper delivered in paper form to instructor during class and electronic form at our TcCommunity site before our last class.

Final Exam • Individual short answer/paragraph written test • Emailed a week before our last class • Posted in electronic form on our TcCommunity Site for download. • Filled out in Word • Due Sunday Night Midnight after last class. Emailed to instructor. • Instructor will respond with a receipt when received (as well as update Community assignment status page) • …taken by yourself…remember the honor system.
