11. About Tonight/Today Tonight/Today I am going to explain what makes Weleda and its products special and then take you through our facial skincare products. After that you will get the chance to try the products for yourselves and I will advise you as to which products have the right ingredients for you. It is very relaxed so please ask questions as I go along. It’s entirely up to you whether you want to try the products as I pass them round. If you do, please feel free to use them on your face or on your hands/arms. (point out tissues/cotton wool and hair clips to assist). This will last approx 45 mins .(Explain here whether you are doing a facial or handcials see slide x x ) Afterwards please feel free to try anything else that you are interested in and do ask if you have any queries or concerns with your skin that you would like to address. I will help as much as I can. Hopefully I will get to spend a few minutes individually with each of you at the end to do this. (At this point you could offer complimentary hand massages to take place at the end of the event. Only if you feel comfortable doing this)

12. What goes on you goes in you! We all know that what we eats affects our health and bodies but have you thought that what goes on you also goes in you? Over 60% of what we put on our skin goes into our bodies! The average women wears over 500 chemicals a day and many of these are in skin and body care products. When you get home have a look at the products you currently use on your skin. The vast majority will contain chemicals, parabens and synthetics – the beauty equivalent of artificial colours, preservatives, flavours and E numbers in food. Your skin is the largest organ of the body and has the biggest interface with the environment. So add this to the stresses of daily life (like pollutants, chemicals, stress, alcohol etc) and they all take their toll. The liver, which deals with ridding the body of toxins, becomes stressed. Because toxins cannot come out through the normal eliminative system they find another route out- through the skin. Healthy skin has everything it needs but these stresses mean that it often needs help to keep the right balance. Weleda products are made of completely natural substances. We rigorously avoid synthetic fragrances, dyes and preservatives.

How Weleda products work All Weleda products are therapeutic Because they are 100% natural and contain organic and natural plant ingredients they have a natural affinity with the skin and are readily absorbed. They are able to work in harmony with the skin, to give it the help it needs, through all stages of life – not just on the surface but deep down. Rather than masking an issue they help the skin to heal itself. (Most skincare products contain mineral oils/petrochemicals – even very expensive ones. These form an impenetrable layer on the surface of the skin and do not allow the products to soak in and work deep into the skin. 14. Key ingredients Every ingredient in a Weleda product is there for a specific reason- for the job it does to improve the skin and to promote and sustain health and wellbeing. The key ingredient is the ‘lead plant’. These ‘lead plants’ (such as almond, iris, wild rose and pomegranate) with their active plant extracts are carefully selected, after years of research, for their specific benefits to the skin and body. Alongside the lead plant, we also used cold pressed plant oils, extracted from the most valuable parts of the plant. These oils are very similar to the ones found in the human skin so are very easily absorbed (they don’t stay as an oily layer on the surface). They care for and soften the skin, protect and nourish it with vitamins, antioxidants and important fatty acids. but most of all THEY WORK!

18. Cleansing range Our mild cleansing products are 100% natural, created from natural plant extracts and oils. They cleanse the skin, removing impurities and make-up gently and effectively, without drying the skin. Containing plant extracts such as witch hazel to calm and cool, cold-pressed jojoba oil and extracts of iris root to soothe and balance the skin they prepare your skin before using one of our natural facial care products. 26. Weleda @ Home Facial • Step 1 – Remove Eye Makeup • Put a few drops of Almond Facial Oil onto 2 pieces of damp cotton wool and remove eye makeup. Use daily in the evening. • Almond Facial Oil – EVERYONE TO USE • Fragrance free • The oil base helps to dissolve the oils within the eye make-up, sweeping it away with hardly any effort- even waterproof mascara • Gentle enough for the thinnest layer of skin around your eyes. • Try using with our Pump dispenser. One pump is enough for both eyes. • Use with 2x pieces of damp cotton wool. (pass round) Makes the product last much longer. • While being passed round: • You can also use this facial oil as a daily protection against cold weather. 27. Weleda @ Home Facial Step 2 – Cleanse (and Tone if desired) Apply choice of cleanser with fingertips and remove with damp cotton wool or apply on damp cotton wool straight onto skin. Use daily morning and night. Removes makeup. Step 3 – Treatment Apply with fingertips and remove with a tissue or damp cotton wool. Or leave on if more intense treatment required. Use once or twice a week in the evenings. Increase if more intense treatment required.
