This initiative aims to improve the quality of life in the village by fostering collaborations with Fermilab and Batavia Library. Key highlights include the easement agreement for high-voltage power transmission, Batavia City Council approval, and ongoing efforts to annex Fermilab into the library. Future plans involve enhancing recycling programs, connecting GSA with Eric Mieland, creating resources for female-only sports leagues, and developing a small dorm or house in Aspen East. Stay tuned for progress updates!

Quality of Life Committee (2006) • UEC: Diehl, Casey, Merritt, Slaughter, Barberis, (Kopp) • GSA: Gimmel, Koskinen, Mahn, Rominsky, Schlobohm
News • Batavia Library cards for Village residents • Fermilab has reached an agreement with Batavia on an easement for high-voltage power transmission onsite. • It was approved in Batavia City Council 11/20/06 • This has stood in the way of an agreement for the Batavia Library to annex (a piece?) of Fermilab into the library.
Things still in progress • More recycling – need to better connect the GSA (J. Gemmel) with Eric Mieland • Female-only sports league and resources (can get $?) -> Heather Hall • A whole small dorm or house instead of a corner of Aspen east
