The Creative Landscape in Scotland • A force to be reckoned with and worth shouting about! • Increasing employment, predominantly • Small businesses • Self-employment/Freelance work • Project/ad-hoc work • Portfolio career • Continuous shifting and changing of landscape • Lower pay but higher satisfaction? • Creative networks are key • Informal hiring/work experience • Awareness of competition

Employability and Future Skills Needs • Creativity, criticality, innovation and enterprise • Management and leadership • Information and digital technology • Business skills/professionalism • Negotiation, selling skills/marketing/PR • Research and labour market information • Adaptable and resourceful • Strong work ethic • High levels of resilience
