My philosophy is to be accessible and effective with all students, especially underrepresented minorities. I aim to break barriers and empower students to believe in their academic success. As an educator, I strive to communicate effectively and create a supportive environment for all.

  1. To believe that one can be academically successful is the right that every student should enjoy …

  2. My philosophy ..to be accessible to and effective with all students, as is any general counselor, but to carry out a unique role in the achievement of underrepresented minorities.

  3. As one student said of his team member:” …despite our differences, we were able to communicate.” To have been instrumental in the setting that allows this student from Hong Kong to say this about an African American male is very satisfying and it epitomizes my professional ambition.”

  4. … I have been an educator who tried not to let my limitations as one individual stand in the way of improving how underrepresented minority saw their potential
