Yummy and Appetising Mor Kuzhambu Mor kuzhambu is one of the popular household dishes in the southern part of India, especially Tamil Nadu and Kerala, and is served along with white rice or as a side dish to dosas made with mixed grains. Ingredients ● Raw rice, ½ teaspoon ● Freshly grated coconut, ½ cups ● Turmeric powder, ½ teaspoon ● Cooking oil: 2 teaspoons ● Toor dal, 1 teaspoon ● A pinch of asafoetida ● Mustard seeds: 1 teaspoon ● Cumin seeds: 1 teaspoon ● Coriander seeds: 1 teaspoon ● Water, 1 cup ● Green chillies ● Chopped ash gourd, white pumpkin, or cucumber, 1 ½ cups ● Curd 1 cup Method 1. In a large bowl, soak raw rice, toor dal, coriander seeds, and cumin seeds for 30 minutes. 2. Add the soaked dal and spices into the mixer jar, along with ½ cup of grated coconut and green chillies. 3. Blend the mixture into a smooth paste. If needed, add some water while blending. 4. Now, in a large pan, add water, chopped vegetables, turmeric, and salt. Cover the pan and cook it until the pumpkin is cooked completely. 5. Once the pumpkin is cooked, add the ground paste. Make sure to cook on a low flame. Add in one cup of thick whisked curd. 6. Continue to cook until it boils and turns frothy. Make sure not to overcook because the curd may curdle.

  2. 7. Now, in a small pan, add two teaspoons of oil. Once the oil is hot, add the mustard seeds, hing, and curry leaves. Once it sputters, transfer it to the mor kuzhambu.
