  2. Who is EDT? EDT is comprised of Mud Cat brand auger dredges, IMS Dredges brand auger dredges, and Trash Cat debris skimmers. Mud Cat invented and patented the auger dredge in 1971 and is a globally recognized brand. The entire auger dredge industry based their design off of the first Mud Cat which was mass marketed by National Car Rental until Ellicott purchased Mud Cat in the 1980’s. IMS invented and patented the Starwheel Drive self-propulsion system and the WeedMaster cutterhead. Today, EDT is recognized as the technology leader in the one truck transportable dredge market whether for remote controlled or manned auger dredges. EDT and its affiliated companies have over 200 years of cumulative dredge design expertise.

Over 1,200 IMS & Mud Cat Dredges sold around the world in over 60 countries. EDT works with over 30 dealers around the globe.

  5. EDT Patents Holds exclusive patent on Starwheel Drive TM self-propulsion system (Patent # 5,782,660) which allows Versi-Dredge to be the most maneuverable dredge in the world. Holds exclusive patent on WeedMaster Cutterhead (Patent #9,060,464) which allows the Versi-Dredge to cut and pump aquatic vegetation. No other dredge in the world can do this. In 2015 EDT filed for the patent on the GeoPool Dewatering System which is the most affordable and effective dewatering device on the planet.

EDT is committed to never turning their back on the customer and that is why most of our customers are repeat buyers. • EDT provides unlimited technical support via phone and e-mail for the operating life of the equipment. • Emergency visits and warranty visits can be easily arranged • Most replacement parts are on the shelf and can ship within 24 hrs.

  7. EDT Training & Support • EDT is the only dredge builder in the world with a horizontal cutterhead dredge simulator for pre-start-up training. Available exclusively at the factory for all EDT customers. • Free simulator with 10 dredge order. • System has 3 flat screens and a moving base that provides real life motion to make operator feel like they are on an actual dredge. • Allows new operators to get chair time before starting on a new dredge in the field.

EDT Sales Process • Leads: • EDT provides lead (produced via IMS or Mud Cat Websites: www.imsdredge.com and www.mudcatdredge.com • BanglaCAT produces leads locally via calling on government entities such as BIWTA and BWDB. • Qualification: • Qualify the application using the Project Request Form from our websites or we can provide paper copies. It covers material, distance, elevation, water conditions, vegetation types, etc. • This part of the process is critical as we need to know as much information about the project as possible. As our rep your job is to gather and relay. We are here to assist you with making the decision. Send us the photos and information on each project and together we will make the right decision. • We recommend that a site visit is performed if site is accessible. • Tender Specifications Stage: • EDT can help custom tailor a specification to the client’s project. It is to our benefit to get our specs inserted in the tender document. • EDT can supply tender specs on demand for BanglaCAT. • Proposal Stage: • We can either propose the equipment direct to the buyer or to BanglaCAT who will buy and re-sell the equipment. • We quote FOB Factory, USA or CIF Port Chittagong or Dhaka, Bangladesh. • Please specify if you want to act as Dealer and re-sell or if you want to have us sell direct to the end user. With government we suggest you buy and re-sell as our dealer. • After Sales: • We provide 5 days on site training in Bangladesh free of charge. • We would like to get BanglaCAT’s personnel trained on our products. We can work out additional training at BanglaCAT’s facility in Bangladesh by our field service technician during scheduled start-ups.
