  5. 50 % benchmark (February 2006) Dramatic decline in MFL GCSE entries Decline in numbers of students studying MFL at KS4 to well below 50% Decline considerably more significant in inner-city schools / areas of social deprivation (in some schools to below 10%, even 0%)
