  • There are 48 countries in Asia.

  • Very few are transition countries.

  • So many are developing countries.

  • Besides building infrastructure, these developing countries strongly need for technical assistance in capacity building issues on ICT, e-commerce, UN/CEFACT recommendations and standards.

  • Potential exists for cross border projects in Asia pacific using UN/CEFACT tools. This may be taken up in various PDAs.
