  2. The Pyramid Hierarchical Model that is needed when there are few educated for leadership, and communication is limited The negative aspects are exclusivity, corruption possibilities, competitiveness

  3. The Emerging Systems Model when there is shared education, and abundant communication possibilities • Inclusiveness and collaboration possibilities increase. Curriculum that is focuses more on collaboration rather than competition and increases inclusiveness by allowing for diversity will be important across all teaching.

  4. The Business Model based on the Hierarchical Pyramid In This Model, companies compete with other companies, are bought by larger companies, and large corporations can control many companies

  5. Values-Met Criteria • Sustainability 2.0 • Corporate Social Responsibility • Social Business and Micro Entrepreneurship

From studying information about what distinguishes social businesses and microenterprises, three common aspects were found: 1) Their beginning premise is to be in and for the community where they live. 2) They willshow others how to create what they have in their communities, and invite collaboration to develop and improve (extending the circles of collaboration). 3) The social objective is a shared quality of life that neither exploits nor abuses.

  7. Social Investing and Microfinance • Open Business Models

In the Yunus Centre’s seven principles for social business investment, two principles out of the seven state a more radical investment requirement. • Investors receive back only what they monetarily invested. • Investors invest financial capital with a return of their financial capital along with added service capital — what they have given has increased the quality of life to others by helping social businesses, and even assisted the poor create a means of “livelihood.” • This is an evolvement that is not charity, but a clear commitment to generate socially responsible businesses that equalize quality of life around the world. (Yunus 2007) • Microfinance is more accessible to those too poor to qualify for the social investment.

REVIEW: • K-20 Global Education needs to include teaching about both business systems, with an emphasis on promoting the open system. • “Values Met” Criteria • Sustainability • Corporate Social Responsibility • Social Businesses and Entrepreneurships • Social Investing/Microfinance • open business models of small diverse companies networking through mutual collaborations

  13. Biggest Shifts Will Be in Strong Health Education to Promote “Wellness”

Education Must Provide Students Knowledge of: • PERSON-CENTERED WELLNESS, and PERSONAL HEALTHCARE • (Holistic) Wellness (a person has a flourishing integrative quality of life) • (Holistic) Personal Healthcare (conditions and/or symptoms that arise that a person can manage with specific attention from Healthcare) Professionals) • Tools for Proactive Wellness and Personal Healthcare • HEALTHCARE 2.0 • Wellness and Personal Healthcare 2.0 • CAMs – Complementary and Alternative Medicine Therapies • Centers for Integrated Medicine

INTERDISCIPLINARY CURRICULUM AREAS • The Physical – Health SciencesHuman Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology/BioMechanics, Nutrition, • Exercise/Rest/Sleep • The Psychological – Social Sciences • Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Development, Mental/Emotional Health • Integrating Consciousness: Intellectual with Intuitive • The Spiritual – Humanities • Philosophy, Perennial Wisdom, Comparative Religion: Common Spiritual Path

REVIEW • Health Education Must Become a Major Curriculum Area for all Grades • Personal Wellness Will be Emphasis in Health Care Systems • Person must be able to Intelligently Interact with Health Care Professionals • Person must be able to work with Increasing Medical Technology Tools • Person must be knowledgeable of Full Range of Medical Treatment Options • Person must be able to effectively monitor and follow Personal Health Conditions treatment plans
