  2. Timand Bates brings extensive experience in both academic leadership and innovative teaching, with a career focused on advancing education through strategic program management and inclusive curriculum development.

  3. Timand Bates holds an M.A. in the Teaching of English from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a B.A. in Languages and Literature from Bard College.

  4. As Program Manager for the Open Society University Network (OSUN), Timand Bates leads an $850,000 grant-funded initiative to provide online liberal arts education to a global student audience. His work has driven substantial growth in both enrollment and faculty participation across the network.

  5. During his tenure at Bard College as Associate Dean and Assistant Dean of Students, Timand played a key role in supporting student success, enhancing diversity efforts, and managing campus-wide initiatives related to student wellbeing.

  6. In the classroom, Timand Bates has developed and taught courses for the Bard Prison Initiative and the American University of Central Asia, focusing on equitable education for underrepresented and international learners.
