  2. Timand Bates is a seasoned educator, administrator, and program leader with over two decades of experience in higher education.

  3. Throughout his career, Timand Bates have been dedicated to creating inclusive, innovative, and transformative learning environments that empower students and strengthen academic communities.

  4. Currently, Timand Bates serves as Program Manager of External Programs at Columbia– Greene Community College, where he develops and oversees initiatives that expand educational opportunities for students and strengthen the institution’s community impact.

  5. Timand Bates’s leadership emphasizes strategic growth, student success, and collaboration across departments and partner organizations.

  6. Previously, Timand Bates held a pivotal role as Program Manager for Online Courses at the Open Society University Network (OSUN). There, he successfully directed an $850,000 grant from the Open Society Foundation, coordinating synchronous liberal arts courses offered to students across 45 global institutions.

  7. His work not only broadened access to world-class education but also enhanced faculty engagement and cross-institutional collaboration.
