  1. Medical Conditions That Cause Hair Loss

  2. According to various dermatological studies, people lose between 50 and 100 hairs every day. Since there are about 100,000 hairs that normally grow on the scalp, this amount of strands remains unnoticeable. However, a large number of men and women deal with thinning hair and hair loss at some point in their lives. The causes of hair loss cover a wide range of factors such as: hormonal changes, heredity, unbalanced diets, side effects of drugs used for cancer treatment, as well as different skin disorders.

  3. Hormonal imbalances caused by interruption of birth control pills, pregnancy, menopause, and childbirth lead to temporary hair loss. A better stress management, proper nutrition, good rest, and workouts together with adequate medication help the individual to surpass the difficulties faster and easier. Hormonal Changes

  4. The thyroid gland has a strong influence over the metabolic process. When the thyroid does not do its job properly, you have to face a lot of unpleasant symptoms like weight gain, irritability, depression, weakness, and hair loss. The medication based on synthetic thyroid restores the normal level of hormones, and the outcomes are also seen in your hair appearance. Thyroid Problems

  5. Many women aged between 20 and 50 suffer from anemia, a disorder caused by iron deficiency. The number of red blood cells is lower than normal and the body is deprived of the right amount of oxygen. This leads to different health issues including thinning hair. Apart from taking the iron supplements recommended by your physician, you need to go for iron rich foods: beef, fish, beans, cereals, and leaf vegetables consumed along with foods containing vitamin C. Vitamin C enhances the absorption of iron and increases the body's immunity. Anemia

  6. Scalp infections provoke hair loss when they are not treated adequately. Ringworm, a fungal infection that invades the scalp, causes itchy areas and hair loss in patches. In general, topical creams work well, but if the infection continues to last, your doctor will prescribe a treatment with antibiotics. Scalp Infections

  7. Another factor that triggers hair problems is the low level of vitamin B. You need to improve your daily diet with foods rich in vitamin B such as lean red meat, mushrooms, watermelon, peanuts, eggs, fish, liver, bananas, fortified cereals, and leafy greens. Vitamin B Deficiency

  8. Alopecia areata occurs when the immune system has an overreaction and attacks the hair follicles accidentally resulting round hairless portions on the scalp. The treatment includes steroid injections, topical corticosteroids, and drugs (Rogaine). The outcomes of the therapy become visible once the immune system starts to get the right signals, its activity turns to normal, and the hair grows again. Although hair loss gives a lot of hassle, you have certain options close at hand to go easier through this experience. Wearing wigs for example, is one of them. The wigs are made of human hair or synthetic hair, each type having its own features and qualities. No matter what kind of wigs you prefer, they help you feeling better and looking great in the same time. Alopecia Areata
