  3. Frito Lay • Frito-Lay is a wholly-owned subsidiary of PepsiCo, Inc. • Products: • Lay’s Chips • Cheetos • Tostito Chips • Sun Chips • Ect. • Plant location: Kathleen, GA

  4. Crystal’s Background • Internships: Miliken • She worked in a project engineering role where she was assigned to reorganize their inventory system and create a system for tracking all refurbished inventory parts.

  5. Current Position at Frito Lay • Her job title is Palletizing Resource in Frito terms which is a department manager. • Responsible for running palletizing, cartons, and receiving in the warehouse. • Manages a team of about 30 people

  6. Normal Day at Frito Lay • Comes into work at about 10pm • She crews the shift and sets up a pre-shift about any issues or communication pieces for the team. • She attends a wall meeting 30 minutes into the shift to go over the previous shift’s performance and discuss any operation or maintenance issues. • A walk through is then conducted of each department to make sure that everything is functioning properly • Whatever trouble spots pop up she tries to figure out a way to best deal with each given situation. • At the end of the shift another wall meeting and walk through occur.
