  2. Planning Phase

  3. Gathering Clothes We gathered clothes starting May of 2013. Most of the gathering was done between October 1 and November 7th. We advertised through PTA newsletters, notes home, an all call, social media, the Wilson website and through local classified adds.

  4. A Community of Service We recruited help from parents, and service organizations such as TEAM a Logan High School group, AmeriCorps, 7 AmeriCorps VISTA members from all over the valley, Logan Kiwanis, Logan City School District, the Wilson School Cooks, local LDS wards, CRIC, & The Public School Partnership (PSP) out of USU.

  5. Organizing It took more than 50 volunteers who put in more than 215 volunteer hours to make this years clothing drive a success Parents, staff, community members and service organizations were the main reason this year was so successful

  6. Overall • Distributed over: • 975 shirts • 475 pants • 150 pair of shoes • 200 coats & jackets • Over 240 new socks and underwear • 200 additional items such as dresses, diapers, toys, accessories • *20 additional garbage bags of clothes and shoes were donated to Ellis’s clothing drive

  7. Sharing with the community New This Year • Because the community around Wilson has been so generous, we were able to open our doors to all Wilson families, refugee families were invited through CRIC and homeless families were invited through the Logan School District.

  8. A Picture of Success Each year gets better and better and we are grateful for a community willing to help and serve
