Paper Objective • To study the topology of the characteristics of Twitter and its power as a new medium of information sharing • To study how Twitter follow the characteristics of other social network mediums. • To study such trends in popular topics that users tweet and how this information spread

Conclusion • We ranked users by number of followers and PageRank – similar result • Ranking by number of ReTweets differ from the other two – indicates a gap in influence from the number of followers and the popularity of tweets • Ranking by ReTweets expose influence of other media in a new perspective • Once ReTweeted, a tweet gets retweeted almost instantly on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th hops away from the source • ReTweet allows relay of information propagation
