  1. Performance and Energy • We consider the extreme case of energy efficiency and performance improvement and try to find the balance • Performance: analyze the usage pattern and let the NVCache serves the random access and disk serves the sequential access • Energy efficiency: Write back cache and merge the write request when write back • We will analyze the reliability issue under these two situations

  2. We focus on the SLC nand flash since performance is one of our goals, but try to modify the policy to cooperate with MLC flash. • Application usage • Multimedia • Gaming • Normal usage
