  2. Example – ‘Compare and Analyse’ • For example, I will use the Mean from my question (you wouldn’t include the blue writing) • Compare: 1. State the measurement between 2 or more things • The Mean for Children is 2.2, for Adults it is 3.8 2. State the size of the difference between them • This is a difference of 1.6 3. Describethe difference (or similarity) • Given there is only a possible range of 4, this a big difference • Analyse 4. What does this difference (or similarity) mean? • An average of 3 would indicate ‘Maybe Agree’ Anything below that indicates an average answer of ‘Agree’, and anything above that shows an average answer of ‘Disagree’. The difference in Mean shows that, on average, children believe in magic and that adults don’t.
