  7. Migrating Birds • Fall begins the migration of birds • Geese • Swans • Gulls • Some fly during the day, others fly during the night (cooler) • Speed • 10 to 50 mph • Altitudes • 500 to 4000 feet • Avoidance • Birds dive down

  9. Night Currency • With shorter days, night currency needs to be maintained • FAR requirements to carry passengers • Every 90 days • 3 take and landings to full stop • 1 hour after sunset and 1 hour prior to sunrise • Not current? • Take an IP for a ride
