  1. BlingerMonday 11/5/12 • Harper Lee deals with many dichotomies in TKM, perhaps most obviously the struggle between good and evil. Select a character and discuss how this dichotomy is captured in him or her.

  2. Paragraph-to-Paragraph Transitions • Pick up key phrases from the previous paragraph and highlight them in the next. • Instead of writing transitions that could connect any paragraph to any other paragraph, write a transition that could only connect one specific paragraph to another specific paragraph. Example: Harper Lee became a famous author after her novel, To Kill a Mockingbird, skyrocketed up the bestseller list. There are other things to note about Lee as well.
