Introduction

An improved invention that guarantees getting more water pumped from your windmill to fill your dam or tank; using plastic pipes; and lowering the maintenance on your windmill saving you money!

Current SituationThe windmill assembly includes a cylindrical channel or conduit extending from the base of the tower frame downwardly through a bore and into the well. The channel serves both to accommodate the rod train and to transport water pumped upwardly by the pump.

In a typical water pump, the rod train is connected directly to the plunger. The cylinder (which may simply be a portion of the channel) is orientated generally upright and has a one-way intake valve at its lower end for letting in water on the upstroke of the plunger. The plunger typically includes a one-way travelling valve so that on the down stroke of the plunger, the valve opens allowing water to pass from below the plunger through the valve into the channel above the plunger.

Conversely, on the upstroke of the plunger, the travelling valve is closed so that water is drawn upwardly from below the plunger (through the open intake valve of the cylinder) and water already above the plunger is forced upwardly along the channel to the surface. The pump therefore defines an upper and a lower working chamber above and below the plunger, respectively. A water outlet is defined at a suitable position in the upper working chamber.

At the surface, the rod train leaves (or enters) the channel through a stuffing box. The water is directed from the outlet to where desired (for example to a reservoir).

The Riemland Smith Cylinder is differentMost windmill cylinders make use of a “forskop / drukkop". The “forskop / drukkop" is where most of water wastage occurs. It is also high on maintenance. The Riemland Smith Cylinder is different. It makes use of a unique set of vesconite valves and distinctive design. This design and valves take away the need for a “forskop / drukkop".

How the Riemland Smith Cylinder works:Inlet and Outlet ValvesThere are two valves; an inlet and outlet valve. Water is dispersed via these valves. Due to the design of these valves they work more efficient to pump water. During tests it is confirmed that up to 16 Bar was achieved. This is 10-Bar higher than most windmills with the old “forskop / drukkop". This higher pressure allows water to be pumped further and higher. Having this ability you are able to fill your tank or dam from your windmill pump.

How the Riemland Smith Cylinder works:Attach to current steel pipesThe Riemland cylinder attaches to your current steel pipes eliminating the need for additional steel pipes.

How the Riemland Smith Cylinder works:Use plastic pipes to connect to the outlet valveSteel pipes rust and disintegrate over time. With the Riemland Smith Cylinder the water is not pumped trough these steel pipes. Therefore it is not necessary to replace them. You use a plastic pipe connected to the outlet valve to get the water where you want.

Why should I use the

Riemland Smith Cylinder?

You save money by not having to replace you current steel pipes.

Money is also saved on maintenance. This is achieved by the unique set of vesconite valve design of the Riemland Smith Cylinder.

The Riemland Smith Cylinder cannot run dry as it is placed at water level. Due to this placement the Riemlad Smith Cylinder it further saves you money on expensive maintenance and labour costs.

If you want to make use of a submersible ("dompel") pump you can still attach it to the Riemland Smith Cylinder.

GETUIGSKRIF:

Ons, Casper Claasen en Cassie Müller (Kusasa Commodities 199), boer in die Petrus Steyn/Heilbron omgewing en het 'n gemengde boerdery.

Ons het vee-suipings wat deur windpompe gevoed word en het dikwels probleme gehad met pype wat gate in kry en silinders wat kort-kort stukkend is.

Vandat ons die nuwe silinder (die Riemland Smith Silinder) gebruik, is al ons probleme van die verlede uitgeskakel.

Ons het 6 windpompe wat die nuwe silinders in het en dit is net 'n plesier om daarmee te werk.

Ons sukkel nie meer met stukkende silinders nie en al kry die pype nou gate in, is dit nie 'n probleem nie, aangesien die stange deur die ou pype kan werk en word die water dan met 'n plastiese pyp van die silinder af gepomp.

Die silinder werk makliker, met minder wind en lewer heelwat meer water as die tradisionele silinder.

Ons beveel beslis hierdie Riemland Smith Silinder aan en is baie tevrede daarmee.

Hiermee getuig ek dus van baie goeie resultate en kan dus die Riemland Smith Silinder aanbeveel, aangesien ek reeds 10 (tien) verdere silinders laat installeer het. Ek het my eie onderneming genaamd Agri Mecca op Koppies en verkoop ook die Riemland Smith Silinder aan die publiek.

Getuigskrif: Riemland Smith Silinder

Verskeie jare het ons waterprobleme op my woonplaas gehad as gevolg van een boorgat wat ver geleë is, en ‘n hoë pomphoogte. Baie is spandeer aan boorkoste (vir die boor van water word betaal per meter geboor en daar is baie hoë kostes aan verbonde), maar tevergeefs. Met die installering van Mnr Piet Smith se boorgatsilinder moet die windpomp deesdae vasgemaak word, aangesien die geringste windjie veroorsaak dat dit water pomp. Eerstens, kry ek baie meer water op die bult, en verder is onderhoud en vermorsing van water as gevolg van seëls wat lek nie ter sake nie.

Hiermee neem ek die vrymoedigheid om die boorgatsilinders aan te bevel wat eksklusief deur Piet Smith vervaardig word.

Die silinders het baie voordele omdat dit koste besparend is. Die ou stukkende staalpype van die boorgat kan weer hergebruik word, aangesien die water nie meer deur hierdie staalpype verplaas word nie, maar deur plastiese pyp direk vanaf die uitlaat van die silinder na waar dit benodig word. Dit is waterbesparend, want geen waterlek is aan die boorgatpype bo-op die grond nie, aangesien die forskop nie meer benodig word nie. Nat kolle word ook nie gevorm nie en voorkom dat die gat dus nie inval nie.

Deur hoë material te gebruik, word onderhoudskoste verlaag.
