However, the one player who defined greatness was Michael Jordan, says Jay Sawyer. He shares that Michael Jordan was named to 10 All-NBA first teams, essentially meaning he was amongst the best five players in basketball for 10 seasons. He also added 9 All-Defensive first-team selections over the course of his career. Michael Jordan was the NBAu2019s most valuable player five times. He was also named the NBAu2019s defensive player of the year in 1988. Besides that, he won a record 10 scoring titles, and boasted a career average of 30.1 points per game, which is the most in NBA history.
