  3. Machine translation is An automatic translation of one language into another by means of a computer or another machine that contains a dictionary, a Thesaurus for meanings and synonyms along with voice translator.

  4. Four Types of Machine Translation: MT for Watcher(MT-W) For readers who wanted to gain access to some information written inforeign language. MT for revisers (MT-R) For example: systran program. • MT for translators (MT-T) • This aims at helping human translators do their job by providing • on-line dictionaries, thesaurus and translation memory. • MT for Authors • (MT-A). • aims at authors wanting to have their texts translated into one or • several languages and accepting to write under control of the system.

Disadvantages The most conspicuoustare: It depends on the translation of the text literally in the sense that they translate each word separate from context translation takes neither grammar into account nor the linguistic differences between the source language and the target language It is not successful in translating complex sentences, with differences in the punctuation marks, for it is based on the translation of words only, which are previously translated..

Evaluation of Machine Translation Systems • MT was the first idea of the proposed applications for digital computers. • The idea of making the computer translate any text of a ceretin language to another just by clicking a button without any interrupting from the translator , gives weak results. • Some methods of mechanism in evaluation: • bleu بلو • Nistنيست • Meteor ميتيور • The human judgments to assess the quality of the translated text. • For Example • وظفت شركة صخر لبرامج الحاسب محرك الترجمة الآلية الخاص بها
