    2. 26/07/2012 arte egipcio 2 Medio Geográfico Oasis largo y estrecho, fertilizado por el Nilo gracias a sus crecidas cíclicas ricas en légamo. Ocupado por gentes del Sahara, en proceso de desertización, hacia el IV milenio. Pronto se organizó el reino, unificando la zona norte y la sur, alternando la capitalidad a lo largo de su civilización. Dado que este oasis está rodeado de desiertos (de Libia y Arábigo), estuvo al abrigo de las invasiones de otros pueblos hasta el siglo XVIII a.C. en que llegaron los Hicsos, pudiendo desarrollar hasta entonces una civilización original sin influencias externas, cuyos rasgos permanecerán en el tiempo.
