From the Director’s Desk… Congratulations Class of 2014 “The Tassel’s worth the hassle!” Your schooling may be over, but remember that your education still continues Did you know??? Strawberries are part of the rose family, the only fruit with seeds on the outside, and average 200 seeds per berry. Native Americans introduced the Colonists to strawberries. The crushed berries were mixed with cornmeal and baked into bread. After trying this bread, Colonist developed their own version of the recipe and created Strawberry Shortcake.
