  3. Camp Counsellor Skills • Arts & Crafts • Painting, Photography, Tie-Dyeing • Land Sports • Tennis, Rugby, Martial Arts • Outdoor skills / Adventure • Farming, Rock Climbing, Horseback Riding • Performing Arts • Drama, Guitar, Circus • Waterfront • Jet Skiing, Lifeguard, Fishing

Camp Types • Traditional Program Camps • 1 to 8 weeks (middle to high income) • Speciality Program Camps • 1 to 2 weeks (Main activity – i.e. Land or Water Sport) • Girl Scouts • 1 to 2 weeks (Girls only – Traditional Philosophies of Girl Scouts) • Underprivileged & Inner-city Children Camps • 1 or 2 weeks – (Campers in difficult life experiences)

Physical and/or Mental disability Camps • 6 to 9 Days – 1 to 3 campers (all needs of camper) • Religious Camps • 1 Week (fun outdoor – Christian or Jewish faiths) • Day Camps • 1 Day (Mon to Fri, 8am to 6pm) – Parks, beaches, church halls (general activities) • Special Requirements Camps • 1 or 2 weeks (Special Medical conditions – ADD, diabetes, etc)

  6. Camp Counsellor Responsibilities: Role Model, friend ,instructor, big brother, cheerleader, hero to campers, primarily overall supervision. You are there to ensure well being and safety and to make the camping experience more fun and rewarding. Typical Day Routine at Camp 7:00 - Wake up 14:30 - Activity Period 7:30 - Flag Raising 17:30 - Free Time & Dinner 7:45 - Breakfast 19:15 - Flag Lowering 8:45 - Cabin Inspection 19:30 - Evening activity 9:00 - Activity Period 21:30 - Campers Lights out 12:30 - Lunch
