The Do's of

Trans-Siberian Tour Preparation

Things You Should Do Before Boarding The Train

There is something exciting about riding on a train.

Although majority of people prefer boarding the

airplane as their form of transportation, there are

passengers who would rather indulge in a train's

old-fashionedness and enjoy the breathtaking

landscape as zips along the railway until it reached

its destination.

However, a train ride is not all about great

adventures and comfort. That is why you need

careful planning before you set foot on the

Trans-Siberian train tour.

Select your own adventure

Before you book a ticket for

your Trans-Siberian tour,

make sure you have carefully

evaluated your options. If

you are planning to book a

tour with The Trans-Siberian

Travel Company, it spans

three countries and journeys

two different continents,

bringing its passengers to

the most secluded places of

Russia, Mongolia, and China

right to your window.

Get your ticket in advance

If you are looking forward to travelling in China for the Chinese

New Year, chances are the tickets will be scarce and the berths

will fill up quickly even weeks after the start of booking.

If you want a stress-free booking, choose a reputable travel

agency to book your tour and arrange your visas.

Book your accommodation

There are a lot of hotels in Beijing

and Moscow where you can spend

your night in. If you are using a

travel agency to arrange the tour

f o r yo u , t h e y c a n m a ke

recommendations on which hotel

you can stay.

Pack light

When travelling on the train, make sure to pack only the things

that are light and essential. There is no need to pack all the

clothes in your closet. Since you will be travelling through

different regions with different climates, make sure you will be

bringing the appropriate attire for the weather.

Other things to pack with you:

Smart phones

Tablet PC

Books or e-Readers

USB battery pack

Metal cup

Medical kit

Travel accessories

(such as wet wipes,

sanitary napkins)

Comfort items

Since the Trans-Siberian tour is a long-distance travel, one of

the biggest challenges passengers experienced is the

inability to sleep.

To conquer all the obstacles, we suggest bringing the

following things:

Ear plugs

Neck pillow

Eye mask

To fully enjoy every minute of your

Trans-Siberian tour, remember not to:

Starve yourself if you are

trying to save a couple of

dollars . You cannot enjoy your

trip with an empty stomach.

Rush things.

Avoid other passengers.

Always put your smile on your

face and make friends with

your co-passengers.

Spend too much time on your

smart phone.

Take more selfies than the

breathtaking views. You do not

get to enjoy the scenic view

every day so take advantage of
