  1. The Role of Scribes in Empowering Visually Impaired Students Academically. For many students, examinations are a personal milestone — a test of months of hard work, concentration, and hope. But for visually impaired students, every exam comes with an added layer of complexity: not being able to write the answers themselves. This is where the role of a scribe becomes not just important, but life-changing.

  2. A scribe is a person who writes down answers on behalf of a student with a disability — especially during exams — ensuring that the student’s knowledge, and not their physical limitations, is what gets tested. AtSave The Quest, we believe every student deserves an equal shot at academic success, regardless of their physical challenges. That’s why we created The Scribe Bank, a mission-led initiative that connects verified volunteer scribes with visually impaired students in need ensuring that no student is left behind simply because they couldn’t find a writer in time. How Does a Scribe Empower a Student? Imagine a young student who has worked day and night preparing for a board exam. They’ve memorized every concept, practiced every answer. But as the exam approaches, they have no one to write their paper. It’s heartbreaking — and alarmingly common. A scribe ensures: ● Confidence: Knowing someone is there to write their answers allows students to focus on recalling what they’ve learned. ● Fairness: Exams become a test of intellect, not physical ability. ● Accessibility: With Save The Quest’s Scribe Bank, we’re making it easier for students to request a scribe and volunteers to step in when needed. What Makes Project Quest Special? Unlike informal arrangements, Project The Scribe Bank offers a structured and accountable system. All volunteer scribes are trained and verified. Every student request is treated with urgency and care. We also ensure that volunteers: ● Receive a ₹400 honorarium per exam. ● Are awarded an official certificate of contribution from Save The Quest. ● Become a part of a movement that truly changes lives — one exam at a time.

  3. Stories That Stay With You We’ve witnessed moments that stay with you forever — a 17-year-old girl scoring 91% in her board exams with the help of a last-minute volunteer scribe. A parent breaking down in gratitude. A student sending a thank-you voice note, filled with dreams. It’s in these stories that the real power of scribing lives. Be a Part of the Change If you're someone who wants to contribute to education in a meaningful way — not just donate, but actually show up — becoming a volunteer scribe is a simple yet powerful act. Visit our website, explore The Scribe Bank, and sign up. With Save The Quest and Project Quest, you’re not just writing answers — you’re helping write futures.
