  1. Rakhi for Kids Raksha Bandhan was born in India about 6,000 years ago, also known as the Rakhi Festival. It is held across the country in various ways. "Raksha" means protection and "Bandhan" binding. The festival celebrates a relationship between a brother and a sister. During the festival, a sister plays puja for her brother, using kumkum and rice on her forehead.
