  13. How it’s made – The head (2) The F-axis is an NC-axis which automatically adjusts the lens position to set the correct focus according to material and thickness of the piece to be cut: • Cutting and piercing of different materials and thickness without manual adjustment of the focal position, automatically set according to a data base • Accurate control of the cutting process in the whole work area

  14. How it’s made – The head (3) SIPS (“Safe Impact Protection System”) In case of impact, the head disengages to avoid damages caused by crashes. Reference pins and magnets allow a quick and accurate repositioning of the head. Magnets Pins • NO CRASH–RELATED MACHINE DOWNTIME • ELIMINATION OF EXPENSIVE REPAIR ON THE HEAD

  16. How it’s made – The cabin Sliding roof Service door Operator door • New design • Easy to install • Wide operator door on CNC side with large windows • Automatic door for pallet exchange on left side • Partially opening roof and service door for maintenance pourposes

  17. How it’s made – The working table • Table equipped with pallet for supporting 2D workpieces (sizes 1530 and 2040) • Trays for collecting scraps, on wheels for easy handling. • Divided into sectors with separate suction, allowing the optimization of the fumes exhausting in the area where the process takes place. Pallet on L/U station Dragging device Pallet on working table Elevator Trays • The automatic pallet exchanger consists of an additional loading/unloading station with a second pallet, mounted on an elevator. The pallet with the worked sheet metal is exchanged with the pallet with the rough sheet metal. • The speed of the pallet automatically adapts to the weight of the transported sheet. Great cycle time savings on thin sheets.

  18. How it’s made – The laser The machine can be equipped with Ytterbium fiber laser from 2 to 6 kW to cut a wide range of materials in combination with extremely low operating costs. • Entirely solid-state, fiber-to-fiber design • Highly reliable, performing, robust • Over 30% wall-plug efficiency • Low maintenance operation • Long diode life • No mirrors or optics • High beam quality • Compact design

  19. How it’s made – The CNC (1) PRIMA POWER CNC General features • External console interface based on web technology • Numerical control, integrated with the machine, based on standard PC • 17" LCD touch screen and trackball • HMI with graphical tools • Automatic and manual Restart advanced function • Editing, preview and tracing functions • Complete integration with laser generator • Fiber optic full-connected digital servo drives

  20. How it’s made – The CNC (2) PRIMA POWER CNC Programming • Programming in ISO G-Code • Compatible with all previous versions for all PRIMA POWER machines • FLY and LOOK-AHEAD functions for dynamic trajectories optimization • OPC function for lens centering diagnostics • Automatic referencing system to quickly adjust the program to the real position of the sheet in the machine: the measurement assures no metal sheets scratching • Possibility to create, execute and modify job lists for unmanned operation thanks to CELL MANAGER software • With Technology on board (TOB), cutting parameters can be simply managed on CNC

  21. How it’s made – The CNC (3) PRIMA POWER CNC Communication • Online USE, PROGRAMMING and MAINTENANCE MANUAL and intuitive diagnostics • TELESERVICE connection to PRIMA POWER Customer Service (free of charge in the warranty period) • Capability to send e-mail messages when maintenance intervals are elapsed or in case of machine failures (optional)

How it’s made – TOB TECHONOLOGY ON BOARD (TOB) Technology within a click’s reach • Parameters can be simply changed directly on machine CNC • A single cutting program for all materials, thicknesses and machines • Official PRIMA POWER and customizable tables available • Possibility of synchronization of CNC and CAD/CAM tables

  23. How it’s made – OPC OPTICAL PRECISION CONTROL (OPC) REAL CUT FIGURE (MISALIGNED BEAM) The system allows a quick, simple and accurate beam–tip alignment THEORETICAL FIGURE • The machine cut a reference figure • The tip touches the edges of the figure • The system calculates the difference between the beam theoretical position (perfectly aligned to the tip centre) and the real one • The instructions for the operator appear on The CNC screen • The operator turns the alignment screws to correct the beam position INSTRUCTIONS THEORETICAL POSITION REAL POSITION (MISALIGNED BEAM)

  24. How it’s made – sheet position detection SHEET METAL POSITION DETECTION The measuring softwareallows taking highly accurate (< +/- 0.1mm) references on the sheet metal thanks to the capacitive sensor. If the sheet position is different from the theoretical one, the part program must be adapted to the real position. Thanks to this software, by measuring 3 points on the sheet, the values for the roto-translation of the part-program are automatically calculated. 3rd point  angle between sheet and X axis 2nd point Theoretical origin Theoretical position 1st point Real origin
