  2. The answer is…. • Today, your 1st day, you may sit where you want. • Tomorrow, I will fill-in a place for you on the seating chart. • You MAY STAY in the seat you like as long as you BEHAVE where you sit – otherwise I will have to move you. • Please do not move the chairs – I like them where they are.

  3. The answer is…. • There will be a classroom set of books – great – but let’s take care of them. • Yes, you need to look at the Student Lesson Calendar on my site to see what future class agenda’s are.

  4. The answer is…. • No – we will not dissect anything this year – unless you want to volunteer, bring in your favorite pet, friend, brother, sister – etc. • Yes - you WILL have homework, but not on weekends (well…. mostly). • Nope – I am not mean (really!) – I just want you to be a good student so I can be a good teacher! But, I do kid around – so beware!

  5. The answer is…. • Yes - discipline is EASY – just act like your parents are in the room – or they just might be in class with you some day! • Of course, you may talk - when “I” am NOT talking! • Fact - did you know that it is almost impossible to speak and listen at the same time? One has to stop while the other occurs - look it up! • Remember, the greatest compliment you can give to someone is to listen to them!

  6. The answer is…. • Yes - I follow the dress code – so will you. When I don’t, you won’t have to. • No gum, or candy, any of that stuff. Breath mints are allowed, just let me know so I won’t get after you - because I might think you are eating food - or chewing gum - or talking to yourself - or just being weird!

  7. The answer is…. • Planners are extra credit this year. It can be a good way to improve your grade. So keep yours clean and filled in – and with you. • You should use your planner – it is a good tool. Also, there are NO LATE Assignments – unless you are absent - so it will help you keep organized. Your assignments can be found at my website, http://mrcard.org. - click on Student Lesson Calendar.

  8. Things to remember…. • You leave for lunch at the middle of 9th period – after the every ‘silver’ day - except early out days! • You are allowed to have one “free” tardy a six weeks in my - then its detention time after school, in here, with me – from 2:50 to 3:20 - ugh! • You are tardy after 7:50a.m.. No free tardies 1st period, the office will assign detention. • Did you know 3 tardies equal one absence day? • I will have after school detention and study hall. You can to if you really, really want to - really!

  9. The answer is…. • You got it! You leave the classroom when “I” dismiss you, not when the bell rings – sssssloooowwww down. • DO NOT RUN IN THE HALLS - EVER! If I catch you, you leave my class last - EVERYDAY! • Yes - you may get ready to go when you are finished with ALL of your work, or when the bell rings. • Please, be sure you pick up all of your stuff!

  10. You need to know this…. Yes - you WILL use computers in this class. These computers have games on them, but they are intended to complete assignments on.
