  1. About Never Give a Bunny a Haircut Story reading and storytelling should play a major role in a child’s growing years. It serves many purposes. It creates a bond between the parents and the child and also develops the child’s values. Stories are the best way to develop moral values in children. The Importance of Child Characters When the characters in a story are close in age to the child reading or listening to a story it has a great impact because they can identify with the characters and are eager to imitate. Never Give a Bunny a Haircut serves this purpose. The story The Never Give a Bunny a Haircut is a part of The Never Stories Children’s Book Series, The adventures of Carl and Jessica. Carl dislikes getting a haircut while Jessica does not want her hair braided. The reason for this dislike is that they both hate sitting still and while Carl does not like the itchy feeling during a haircut and Jessica is annoyed when her hair gets pulled while being braided. They constantly keep complaining. The barbers realise the problem and come up with a game called ‘bunny hair’ to keep them distracted. The trick works. Colourful illustrations Children books love illustrations and the illustrations in these books are colourful and attract kids. This is an added attraction in this series of books. Maybe the budding artist in your child will be encouraged.

  2. What children can learn These are not only books for fun. Along with the characters, children learn to solve problems; they learn the importance of toys and the use of tools. They realise that every tool has its own purpose and not all of them are safe for children. Once they have had their hair done, they get incentives so there is another lesson learnt as they realise that good work is always rewarded. This particular story also teaches them that everyone at some time has to do something they dislike so it is best to stop complaining and get the work done. The Never Stories which are simple and have vivid pictures are a wonderful way to reach out to children. No wonder they are popular with parents and children alike. It keeps children engaged and parents find it a simple way to teach children moral values. Every parent would wish their child to grow into a wonderful human being with their values in place and these stories serve that purpose.
