Political Career: In 1997, Vinod Khanna joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and was elected as a Member of Parliament from Gurdaspur, Punjab in 1998. He was re-elected to the Lok Sabha in
1999, 2004, and 2014. He held various portfolios in the government, including Minister of State for External Affairs, Culture, and Tourism.
