  2. Animal Behaviors Adaptation -When an organism gets used to its environment Examples: -A person from Arizona going to Wisconsin for the winter.

  3. Animal Behaviors Camouflage -when an animal hides to hunt or hide from predators. Examples: -A rattle snake hiding in the sand to catch a rat

  4. Animal Behaviors Hibernation -When an organism sleeps for a season Examples -A bear sleeping for the winter

  5. Animal Behaviors Dormancy -When a plant sleeps for a period of time. Examples: -A tree’s leaves falling in the fall so it would not have to use so much energy

  6. Animal Behaviors Courtship -When an animal seeks out a mate Examples -A peacock trying to find a mate by extending its beautiful feathers

  7. Animal Behaviors Migration -When a group of organisms move to another place for resources or a mate. Examples -Wildebeest moving to another watering hole for water

  8. Animal Behavioirs Regeneration -When an organism grows back a body part\ Examples -A red spotted newt having its hand eaten off and then grown back on

  9. Animal Behaviors Learned Behavior -When an organism learns to do something Examples -A dog learns to catch a Frisbee

  10. Animal Behaviors Innate Behavior -When an organism does something that comes natural Examples -Ducklings know to foll0w their mother and father

  11. Animal Behaviors Territoriality -When an organism marks its territory Examples -A dog peeing on a fire hydrant to show that it is his territory
