  2. Editorial Editorial T entrepreneurial activities in the future. It is well understood that it has a significant impact on the economic growth of the country. The entrepreneurship education has been defined as a collection of formalized teachings that educate the one who is interested in business establishment. This kind of education can trigger the entrepreneurial initiatives by enhancing the business mindset among the students. ‘ ‘ he entrepreneurship education is believed to provide the understanding of the concepts of entrepreneurship, and at the same time train and motivate them to indulge into The opinion of students regarding entrepreneurship education has been analyzed by the great researchers and they found that the students are highly interested in starting their own business. It is considered that the decision-making skills, risk-taking capacity, creativity, communication skills and ability to prepare business plan are the most important skills for a successful entrepreneur. Thus it is important to make them feel motivated to start their own business because of intrinsic factors like being their own boss, chasing their dreams. The need for entrepreneurship education has been well established in the recent studies. However, the traditional education system teaches students how to become a good employee instead of a successful entrepreneur. It has been recommended that considerable changes are required in the process of learning. The entrepreneurship should be equated with creativity and change, and not with the new venture creation. The students are one of the main stakeholders in the entrepreneurship education process. The above highlighted points shows that the entrepreneurship education is important for promoting the entrepreneurship, but there is a need to carry out more research on the way of providing the entrepreneurship education. 21. Bigwigs of JBIMS Analogous to a well-known phrase ‘Rome wasn’t built in a day’, the legacy of JBIMS cannot be attributed to a single person. It’s a result of concomitant efforts of various individuals with zeal to create something bigger for societal good. It all started with the beloved Dr. Kalyan S. Basu, who ‘crossed the street’ from Hindustan Lever (ex-Vice President) to the Founder and Director of Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies. His zealous initiative behind starting an institute for the national progress has inspired multiple generations of students and faculty alike and it still continues to do so. Dr. Kalyan S. Basu Integrity and smoothness of this mechanism is what gives JBIMS its shine. Maintaining those values isn’t a small task and it had been performed relentlessly, time and again by the institute’s directors. Reins are handed over to a new director in every 3 years, who are sharing the same vision and zeal as late Dr. K. S. Basu, drives the legacy forward to the new heights. Currently, Dr. Kavita Laghate, holds the position of Director at JBIMS, who has been associated with the institute since past 13 years. 23. KEY TO THE FUTURE T he transitive face for every student, from high school to college is a bit tricky as many drastic changes take place in life. The goals are replaced by the urge to earn more money since the definition of success has changed, and the career advice no longer means following one’s dreams and being happy. 1. Focus on the Core Strength As the saying goes fit enough for everything that comes their way either. There are going to be things that the others are exceptionally good at while someone is not. Rather than giving up, one should be aware of the fact that a few weaknesses are just an important ingredient for every successful person. It is not mandatory to excel at everything that comes along the way. Sometimes it is the mere fact that one has tried that matters the most. Rather than just getting disheartened, it always better to look at the brighter side of the coin. and nobody is “Nobody is perfect” College is not only a place where each and every student is taught how to work at the job, but it is that phase that teaches us important lessons about life. There are number of opportunities present in the world, so make sure that we can follow the goals. These pieces of career advice for every student will enable one to see through the difficulties faced in making decisions. 27 September 2018 | T H E TM NOWLEDGEREVIEW NOWLEDGEREVIEW Education. 24. 4. Don’t let go of your Dreams It is difficult for students to come out into the real world after college life gets over. It is because going from a naughty youngster to a responsible person is a very quick turn, but all its need to do is to face the challenges. Failures and success are unavoidable, so the best advice is to focus on the core strength. And always stay determined to achieve the targets. Probably, this would be a smarter way. Dream like a small kid. There are many people, who will say that these dreams are unrealistic or too big to achieve, but remember what successful people say— “If others will not laugh at your dreams, then it is not big enough to worth working on.” So, one has to be passionate and ready to embrace their dreams. 2. Stop Fearing Failure; Rather get Motivated by them 5. Have a vision Stepping out from the shoes of a student and getting into the shoes of a nine-to-five employee is a rather a challenging job. In the beginning, one might end up choosing a wrong career. But, the advice is not to get dismantled, because these are the normal struggles of a beginner in the world. It is only through the mistakes that we learn the important things in life. This is not the biggest mistakes of life; there are many more to come. It is important to remember to get up again, and fix the mistakes that have been made. Mistakes are good, only if we have learned from them, and moved ahead as a more experienced and a smarter person. The biggest enemy of our dreams is our own fear. Let the fear go and then one will realize that he/she have an ocean of opportunities waiting for them. Pursue the dreams like a child follows the butterfly. It is a proven fact that if one gives his/her hundred percent, he/she cannot fail at it because it is the result of hard work and dedication. Just have the courage to believe in the dreams. Work hard and strive towards what seems surreal one day, one will surely find themself at a new height of success. No matter what others call it – weird, stupid or lame; it is easy to live by the boring nine to five work schedule and then return to the apartment with no family waiting for the person. If one is dreaming of becoming a traveler, work on it. Plan for it. One of the helpful things for the rest of life is to have a vision. 6. Pursue what you Love One should have to use his/her interest as a tool to find the right career path. If someone loves writing, go and work for a firm which specializes in creative writing or something of their interest rather than doing the job at some big company. 7. Don’t Wait for Opportunities, Create Them Opportunities do not come over to us, we have to work hard and cease opportunities as they come by. Be motivated, because giving up is not an option; that is not something greatness inspires. Failures make us stronger and more experienced. After college, life may seem quite hectic, new and challenging, but remember if the caterpillar would not struggle to come out of the labyrinth; it would probably never become a butterfly. Thus, never to let go of dreams, no matter how challenging times one may have to face. 3. Strive for Excellence! Success will follow You! The norms of the world changes once the student steps out of the college. From a carefree little world where the people dreamt of being a lovable guitarist in a band, one comes to the stage where everybody speaks about their business in a serious way. In this business world, money becomes the first priority. What matters? At the end of the journey, many of us will realize that life has never been about the number of cars we own and the kind of bungalow we live in. But, life is all about the experiences we all have had and the lessons we have learned. Because, at the end of the day, when we sit with our kids, we would not tell them about the number of projects we completed in the office, but about the adventures, we had in our life and the lessons we learned after failing at the things. Make the life worth it! T R Today, success is defined by the car one is driving and the apartment one is living in. Rather than becoming one of these people striving hard to get success, strive to be excellent at whatever one can do. That is what a key advice which makes everyone of us successful in the real meaning of the world. Being the best in the particular field makes us the gem that everybody would want in their ring. Learn that success is not all about money; it is the independence that one can feel. 28| September 2018 T H E TM NOWLEDGEREVIEW NOWLEDGEREVIEW Education. Innovation. Success

  29. Preparing Students Future Unleashing Potential for the by Their I realizes. Professors have always explained things by relating it to the world outside the classroom. They have always been a “lighthouse to look out there”. It is true that teachers are shining the light of constant change. According to the World Economic Forum Report, more than seven million jobs were and will be lost worldwide between 2015 & 2020. If jobs were available, they are with low-paying, contract basis which is without benefits and pensions. f someone is unable to define the career goals, it doesn’t mean they are avoiding the question. They could be more aware of the situation than anyone issues, like climate change and poverty. Only teachers can help students to solve problems creatively and teach them how to work together. They also need to teach technical skills and equip them to engage with problems. In the recent years, virtual reality has been adopted to expose students to more opportunities. The organizations are also conducting the programs that are preparing students for the workforce and connect students with the volunteer mentors from the local businesses. Organizational Outlook Today, the institutions expect the students to understand the logistics of running a business, attending formal meetings, engaging with customers, and the interpersonal skills like cultivating hard working ethics and positive attitude. Employees can control these skills, regardless of their employer or workplace. Still, teachers need to make sure that the students are up-to-date about the work environment, work ethics and the emerging technologies like robotics. Future Auspices Anxiety about the future is not new in today’s technological world. Through the technologies, like 3D printing, cloud technology or devices connected to the Internet; the huge amount of information is now available instantly. This is causing information overload and social anxiety. The days are gone where the specific education will lead to a specific job. Today organizations, institutes are helping the students to use technology to help them respond to pressing social Even engineering or science students participate with the little interest in the events where the latest technologies are 36| September 2018 T H E TM NOWLEDGEREVIEW NOWLEDGEREVIEW Education. 30. FUTURE CAREER PURSUITS being used. Some can use their writing skills to create fundraising materials whereas an artistic student can design T-shirts, pots, etc. In the fashion designing industry, the workers have listed 3D printing as a top skill for their occupation. Anyone who is graduating from their high schools without gaining knowledge of technologies is going to have a hard time finding a job. change. Thus students have to learn problem-solving abilities while working with the different kinds of people. Unleash Your Potential Opportunities showcase the specific strengths and interests that can contribute to a mindset. This is where the students can accept the thing that they are good at only a few things. Unfortunately, they ignore their ability to learn new skills because they want to do what they’re good at. And that does not promote a growth of mindset that learns from mistakes. Perhaps, teaching students how to engage themselves in various activities is the best way to prepare the students for the ambiguous and changing workforce. Thus, unleashing the potential within students; is the main responsibility that teacher’s need to accomplish. Robotics is not only about the building of robots, or even artificial intelligence. Robotics is literacy, a layer that will influence all the parts of society and jobs. It is the future of what the computer technology is now—something that impacts every part of life and work, whether or not people are trained to exclusively work with them. In high schools and colleges giving students the tools to understand, robotics will only increase what they bring to workplaces. One thing everyone has to remember is that one shouldn’t have to remain the same at the beginning of the course until the end when one is walking out. So, having a list of goals during the course will show exactly how one can change during the course.T R But despite technological changes, students must learn to work together. According to the World Economic Forum, surprisingly jobs are getting diminished, and also highlighted the need for specialized sales representatives who can explain the new products and need of managers who are adept at leading organizations through rapid 37 September 2018 | T H E TM NOWLEDGEREVIEW NOWLEDGEREVIEW Education. 31. Changing Facets of Institutes with Digital Transformations A ccording to Leo Buscaglia, “Change is the end result of true learning”. The changes in our education system and Institutes are the best example of this quote. Digital Transformation in the education system means to integrate the digital technologies of the present era to deliver the knowledge to the students and to accomplish all the operational tasks. Educational Institutes have changed their methodologies of teaching from classrooms based study to virtual classrooms and mobile app based education, their core administrative process, and their day-to-day operations from rich paperwork to digitally and electronically, their process of student enrollment to their attendance maintenance and student examination and their evaluation and the list goes on. As our world is moving towards the digitalization, Educational Institutes have changed in a number of areas. operations and management skills and keep the management updated and competitive. Maintaining Regularity: Earlier to mark the attendance of students and faculty members as employees, attendance registers are needed to be maintained (i.e. Paperwork). Now, this attendance of students can be maintained by the faculty members in their mobile phone apps or by using any other software at the runtime and the collaborative attendance can be viewed by the student and other faculty members anywhere and anytime. Similarly, the attendance of each and every faculty members can be maintained by using the biometrics (Fingerprint and facial recognition) Assignments: Core Administrative Work: Assignments gave and submissions become very easy both for the faculty members and for the students too. A faculty can give any type of assignments to the students online and students can submit their assignments. Faculties are able to evaluate the assignments and can provide the feedback and the marks to them with the extra tips that will help the student in the near future. All the administrative tasks like payment to faculties, student admission process, fee collection, circulars, and all the necessary arrangements can be done online by using emails or by using one software. The digitalization can be implemented in the Institutions by using different software for different work or one cloud-based software which can perform each and every task and store the data on the cloud. Data on the cloud can give the accessibility of the data to each and every authorized person for the same. This will help the institutes to enhance their Teaching Impairments: Institutes are using different technologies to compete with online education alternatives. 33. mixture of Classroom teaching. Video-based learning, mobile based learning and presentation based learning for the students. This will help in increasing the credentials to the different institutions and gain the name of Hi-tech institutions. This will enhance the learning experience of the students. This will create a successive way to cope up with the recent era. This will help to improve success rates and help students to go through the education faster, and streamline the system and reduce tuition costs for students. Digitalization measures improve the learning and success rates for the students and also help the faculties to regularly upgrade their teaching skills to impart the knowledge of recent technologies according to the market. 24 X 7 Online Tutoring: Every student has its own strengths and weaknesses. Every student is not good enough to ask their doubts in front of so many students in a classroom-based teaching or in a group. So, the institutes are providing the facility of online 24 X 7 tutoring system through mobile apps, software or any other website. By using this facility student can easily interact with the concerned faculty or expert of the topic and can clear their doubts in-personal. This can be marked as personalized learning. The days of students writing book reports and painstakingly sharing variations of a single task are being replaced by a personalized approach. Advantages of Digital Transformations: 1. Students can develop the interest in self-learning as they are online resources full of information. 2. As the technology is going advanced day-by-day and by using these technologies, students and faculties are keep them updated according to the requirements. This will help faculties to create the concept of active learning methodologies and live examples to provide the better understanding of each and every topic. 3. Practical training and videos help the students and faculties to provide the practical scenario of each and everything so that they can relate the topics and concepts to the real world scenarios. 4. Teachers are using advanced methodologies to each like power-point presentations, video and audio lectures instead of talking, chalk, board, and duster which will provide a good way of presentation of everything. Disadvantages of Digital Transformations: 1. Digital technologies and the internet provide a solution to every assignment solution. Rather than solving any question by taking initiative they just find out the solution to each and every problem which will lead to the disinterest in the self-study. They will also not focus on studying the basic concepts. 2. While studying, students can start playing games and online videos which can distract them from their education. This can affect the overall performance and overall values and ethics. T R 40| September 2018 T H E TM NOWLEDGEREVIEW NOWLEDGEREVIEW Education. Innovation. Success
