Born in a Marwadi family to Mohanlal Mittal. He completed his schooling graduation in Calcutta. His father had a steel businessman, Nippon DenroIspat. Mittal opened his first factory of steel in 1976 when he was just 26 years old. • Mittal bought two steelworks which were at an enormous loss and Mittal turned them into profit just in a year. • He started buying failing companies and with his winning management skill to bring those companies in profit. • His daughter's wedding is the second most expensive wedding in history costing $66 million. • In 2004 Mittal bought a house and at that time it was the most expensive house in the world and that residence was known as Taj Mittal as the mansion got made of the same marble that got used in the making of the Taj Mahal.
