  • A trip to China is best planned around April and May, as well as from September to October thanks to favourable weather conditions. Avoid booking over the first week of October as this is a public holiday in China, where most of the regions see a major influx in local tourism.

  • There is a surprising variety of Chinese food available in China, with each region offering something a little different.

The Harbin Ice and Snow Festival traditionally marks the end of Chinese New Year with the display of colossal ice structures and intricate sculptures showcased from all over the world.


Enjoy the Dragon Boat Racing Tuen Ng Festival in Hong Kong at the end of May or beginning of June. The festival also takes place on the mainland where it is called the Duanwu Festival.
