The novel is the one of the best-selling books in India of R.K. Narayan. For the novel The Guide, R. K.   6. “Godan” is a famous novel of “Munshi Premchand,” which was first published in 1936 and is considered one of the greatest Hindi novel of modern Indian literature. The book story written around the socio-economic deprivation and the exploitation of the poor people. It was premchand’s last complete novel. Godan was made into a Hindi film in 1963 and In 2004, was also the part of a 27- episode TV series,“Tehreer…. Munshi Premchand Ki” at Doordarshan based on Premchand writing. 8.One Indian Girl (Chetan Bhagat) “One Indian Girl” is a story of a twenty-seven-year-old girl, named Radhika Mehta, who grew up in Delhi and work in London. She is getting married. The girl says that she has some reason that maybe the society not like her too much, Firstly she makes a lot of money, second she has an opinion on every point and Third she has had premarital sex. She also says that if she would be a man than all the things would be okay. But now, she is a girl and the society will not accept to her with these reasons.
