ISP International Learning Opportunities For Students At the International Schools Partnership (ISP), learning is at the heart of everything we do, and we aim to provide the best learning opportunities possible! As part of the student’s journey, we genuinely believe that it is essential they can experience learning outside of the classroom and connect with other ISP students worldwide. As a global group of schools, our students have access to a broader international community, providing additional learning and cultural opportunities within a safe and secure environment. All of the programmes share several main objectives and aim to provide memorable experiences that enable our students to: Develop their language and communication skills • Experience different cultures • Cultivate long-term friendships with students from other countries • Offer students the chance to come together and interact digitally • We are also dedicated to providing our students with the best learning experiences possible and all of our International Learning Opportunities focus on several of the key learning outcomes listed below: To gain more knowledge of: Foreign education systems and new subjects • Geography, History, Digital Media, STEAM • Different lifestyles, cultures and traditions • To develop their: Language and communication skills • Soft skills including independence, organisation, responsibility, confidence, teamwork, leadership • Critical thinking • To improve their understanding of: Education and learning in a broader context •

Awareness of their capabilities, strengths and weaknesses • Cultural differences, sensitivity and awareness • Social responsibility, human rights and sustainability • Becoming a global citizen • We are delighted to be able to offer the following International Learning Opportunities: Programme ISP Buddy Exchange Programme ISP Virtual Buddy Exchange Programme ISP Model United Nations ISP International Summer Camp ISP Maths Challenge ISP English Language Challenge ISP Film Festival I am an ISP Scientist ISP Futures ISP Chess Tournament Street Child United Charity Partnership DOWNLOAD AY 2021-22 INTERNATIONAL LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES BROCHURE ISP Buddy Exchange Programme One-month reciprocal exchanges across the world between paired students to experience the life of another student; culturally, educationally and socially. 14 to 17 years • Up to 4 students per school • Once-in-a-lifetime experience • Application Process: TBC •

Exchanges: TBC • No participation fee. • Travel costs (flights, insurances, visa, etc.) • Learn more about the ISP buddy exchange programme ISP Virtual Buddy Exchange Programme Students participate in an 8-week programme of weekly video calls of 45 minutes with a student from another ISP school. 12 to 17 years • Up to 8 students per school per intake • 2 Intakes • Intake 1: October to November 2021 • Intake 2: April to May 2022 • Final Learning Reflection Task • No participation fee • ISP Model United Nations ISP students from around the world come virtually together to experience an educational simulation of a real UN conference. Students are tasked to debate and solve an international issue in a diplomatic manner following the ideals from the Charter of the United Nations. Virtual MUN IN 2021 • 13 to 18 years • 3 days of debates • 10 weeks of training • Launch: November 2021 • ISP International Summer Camp An opportunity for students to experience a US-style Summer Camp with a variety of learning- focused, team building and outdoor activities, whilst having fun and making new friends in a fully immersive English environment.

  4. 12 to 14 years • 40 campers • Kehoe-France Southshore School & Baton Rouge International School • Summer Camp fee + Travel Costs (flights, insurances, visa, etc.) • Launch: TBC • Summer Camp: TBC • ISP Maths Challenge Students complete maths activities on a games-based platform, competing on points (not like for like activities). Students can participate at school or at home. Individuals and schools that earn the most points will win educational prizes. 5 to 18 years • Between 5 and 1000 students per school • Online competition. 2 warm-up weeks + 1-week competitioN • Launch: November 2021 • No participation fee • ISP English Language Challenge Students complete English language questions and activities on a games-based platform, competing on points (not like for like activities). Students can participate at school or at home. Individuals and schools that earn the most points will win educational prizes. 5 to 18 years • Between 5 and 1000 students per school • Online competition. 2 warm-up weeks + 1-week competition • Launch: March 2022 • No participation fee • ISP Film Festival Students complete a 4-month filmmaking programme from planning to production and submit the film to a voting poll. The best films will be awarded.

  5. 13 to 17 years • Groups of 8 students per school • Webinars and sessions with film industry professionals across 4 modules • Online Screening and Award Ceremony • 4-month programme and webinars: January to April 2022 • Film screening & Award ceremony: May 2022 • No participation fee • I am an ISP Scientist Students contribute to a real-world STEM project through citizen science and have opportunities to engage with STEM professionals through ‘Ask a Scientist’ Q&A sessions. 8 to 14 years • Between 4 and 30 students per school • Mix of teacher-led in-school workshops and online Q&A sessions • Launch: January 2022 • Workshops: February to May 2022 • Ask a Scientist Q&A sessions: February / May / June 2022 • No participation fee • ISP Futures An ISP-wide campaign around the theme of ‘What do we want our organisation to be like in 10, 20 and 50 years’ time’. Creating a more sustainable organisation and leaving a better ISP for future students. 5 to 18 years • Between 5 and 1000 students per school • ISP Forest: Tree-planting projects worldwide and in-school activities • ISP Change Makers: 3 Year-round activities – environmental calls to action • Launch: October 2021 • No participation fee •

ISP Chess Tournament Students to compete in teams against other ISP schools in an Online Chess Tournament. 5 to 18 years • School teams up to 20 players per category • Two categories (under 12 & under 18) • Online regional tournaments + Semi-finals + Final • Masterclasses with Grandmasters • Launch: March 2022 • No participation fee • Street Child United Charity Partnership Partnership to support the work of SCU in improving the lives of street connected young people around the world. Young Leader visits to ISP schools, fundraising, awareness- raising and other activities. 5 to 18 years • Between 5 and 1000 students per school • School visits, in-school raise awareness month and ISP funded project delivered by SCU • No participation fee • Discover more about the Street Child United partnership
