  1. What Is ADHD In Children? INTRODUCTION ADHD, or Attention-Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder, is one of the most common neurodevelopmental disorders in children. Therefore, correct ADHD assessment is vital for treating this disorder. SYMPTOMS OF ADHD #1 Always squirming or fidgeting #2 Trouble waiting for turns and staying in one place #3 Finding it tough to follow instructions #4 Extreme impatience HOW IS AN ADHD DIAGNOSIS MADE? Exhibit many impulsive or inattentive symptoms before the age of 12. Behaviour challenges that go beyond what is age- appropriate for them. Behaviour interferes with social life or school work. TREATMENT The first line of treatment is typically medication, followed by behavioural therapies. Medication is called psychostimulants.
