Presentation : The Écolothèque Discovery, emotion, understanding Through its “Resources Centres” and “Leisure Centers” the Écolothèque allows to discover in a entertaining and scientifique way our natural environment. • Open door to the nature • offering children a better understanding of the wilderness and tamed nature • culture and environment-friendly farming • urban ecology and major environmental issues • A farm of 4 ha with no goal of profitability • for educational purposes (orchards, greenhouses, gardens and farm animals) • a library, rooms equipped with pedagogical materials from different science (astronomy, geology, meteorology, biology) • dining rooms and accommodation • Public • The Écolothèque only accepts groups, no individuals : school children , specialized centers, kindergarten • accommodate training courses related to our mission of environmental education

  7. Educational tools Teaching toolsThe implementation of the educational project of the Écolothèque uses multiple resources which have been adapted over the years. SHARING NATURE More than just a petting zoo, the Écolothèque offers a range of education resources in the environment: • nature trail, weather station, pond, garden theme, • activity rooms and kitchens • adapted and equipped library specialized on "Nature-Environment", • teaching kits, box sets of discovery ... • The loan of some teaching kits to schools is possible, as well as personalized assistance for the implementation of these tools.

DOMAIN REGISTERED IN AGRO-ECOLOGICAL APPROACH • It aims to encourage the living to "learn" to defend against attacks (viruses, parasites ...) without the use of chemicals (insecticides, herbicides, fungicides, chemical fertilizers). • To promote the relations of the plant or animal with its environment and to create space for an agricultural ecosystem. educational materials: Orchards, gardens, parks, hedgerows, wild animals supervising and maintain the site in accordance with the nature and the environment agro-ecological approach for the management of this area

  9. The farm animals Furry and feathered"Calves, cows, pigs, brood ..."But also horses, donkeys, goats, sheep, rabbits live peacefully on 4 ha of Écolothèque. The lower court also meets all kinds of ducks, turkeys, geese and pigeons.All these animals lived peacefully and wait until the children come to feed them, cure them, or watch them walk.Chosen for being friendly, they allow you to safely discover the joys and responsibilities of livestock, and respect for animal life.
