  2. Amazon rainforest 1 • The amazon rainforest is economically important because of its size and grand amount of usable items. The size mans there are lots of trees which can be used for logging. The large amount of supplies means that there are many items which can be used for medicinal purposes or any other beneficial way. This means that money comes in because of the many jobs.

  3. Llanos and pampas regions economically important 2 • The llanos region is important because it contains many treeless areas called llanos that are used for livestock grazing and farming. • The pampas region is important because the have much rich soil. Main products are cattle and wheat grain.

  4. Environmental effects of el Niño, la nina 3 • Some of the environmental effects of el nino are worldwide weather changes throughout its period of time. Happens every 2-7 years. • la nina has the same effects but in reverse.

  5. Political and economic importance of panama canal as a chokepoint 4 • Connects atlantic and pacific oceans. Ships from both hemispheres use the canal, making panama a crossroads of world trade. The canal made possible the exchange of goods and ideas.

  6. What are the major economic activities found in the Caribbean islands 5 • Farming and trade, tourism (working in hotels restaurants, etc.)
