Welcome to NWL CSS • CCGs are judging the CSS from now • We’re all ambassadors of the CSS • Everything we do impacts on whether the CSS is a success or not • Interim operating model Responsibility for functions assigned to CSS have now transferred to the MD • Director level posts shift line manager to CSS MD • Very few immediate changes below MD direct reports • Critical task for most people is business as usual so we keep delivering on behalf of CCGs • CSS start up activities • Designing the structures and operating model • Building the team • Planning business transition • Confirming what the customer want to buy high quality support to commissioners to improve health and wellbeing

Deployment model • To serve all customers the CSS will have to work differently • One central base (looking at 3 shortlisted sites in Ealing and Hammersmith) • Local teams in CCG bases (made up of people from different directorates) • How will you need to operate differently to make this work? high quality support to commissioners to improve health and wellbeing

  7. Designing a new place to work This is what we’ve said we want to build. We need your help… ClarityEveryone within the CSS will know what we are trying to achieve and what is expected of them FlexibilityThe CSS will be designed without unnecessary rules, procedures or practices; new ideas will be actively encouraged and listened to ResponsibilityOur staff will be given the authority to accomplish tasks without having to constantly check for approval StandardsWe will set challenging but attainable goals for the organisation and our staff RewardsOur staff will be recognised and rewarded for good performance PrideWe will create an organisation that our staff are proud to belong to, where they do their best everyday high quality support to commissioners to improve health and wellbeing

How we’ll talk to people Plans still being developed, but include: • Online survey out by next Friday – plus some interviews to get a baseline for further engagement • Weekly emails from the MD –from start of August • A CSS section on the migration intranet – from start of August • Sessions across NWL in August – with published structures • Director surgeries – 1-2-1/team discussions at each site • Further staff sessions during Autumn/Winter • Focus groups on specific topics First question to you: Does this sound right and will you, your teams and colleagues engage on these issues through these routes? high quality support to commissioners to improve health and wellbeing
